These face gels are available in 3 variants:

Cica Gel – Centella Asiatica, Calendula, Ginseng & Licorice

Aloe Gel – Organic Aloevera

I have picked up the hydrating variant that is the Sea Glow gel and the healing variant that is Cica gel because I think I have tried a lot of aloevera gels. So, I wanted to try out the other two new variants.

ABOUT THE SEA GLOW GEL:

Sea Glow Gel is known to hydrate dry & parched skin. It smoothens the dry skin texture and highly moisturizes the skin along with intense hydration resulting in skin renewal and repair. With sensitive pH and optimum concentration, it is suitable for dry, flaky and irritated skin.

This powerful hydrating gel contains Saccharide Isomerate which is a 100% plant-derived carbohydrate complex, similar to that found in human skin. Known for its excellent ability to bind to skin, this vegan hyaluronic acid booster has been shown to deliver long-lasting hydrating and smoothing effects.

It is also enriched with Prickly Pear Extract, which is a gentle ingredient that can be used by all skin types. Because of its soothing properties, it’s especially ideal for those with acne-prone, dry, sensitive, or inflamed skin.

Benefits: Excessively dry skin areas is quickly hydrated. Deep hydration for up to 72 hours. Strengthens skin barrier function. Suitable for leave-on and rinse-off. Skin feels plumper, softer & smoother.  Ensures well-balanced skin microbiome.

PACKAGING:

Both of the Earth Rhythm face gels come inside a beautiful tin packaging that looks very pleasing to the eyes. I love the packaging of the face gels but I always prefer pump packaging to wide tub packaging as I find pump packaging more hygienic. Overall, these are cute packaging that are travel friendly as well.

FORMULA:

The Earth Rhythm face gels have a clear gel like texture which is light weight yet moisturizing. Also, they do not feel heavy or oily on my combination to oily skin. I love the light weight, fragrance free formulation of both these face gels. These will suit the sensitive skin very well.

MY EXPERIENCE:

First let’s talk about the Earth Rhythm Sea Glow Gel. It claims to provide 72 hr hydration and is oil free and lightweight. I absolutely agree that this is lightweight and an oil free formulation but I don’t quite agree with the 72 hr hydration claim. For my combination-to-oily skin, I felt this face gel was not hydrating enough. But when I layered another layer of moisturizer over this face gel, it worked pretty well for me. So if you belong to the dry skin category then applying another layer of moisturizer along with this face gel becomes a must. I don’t think this is hydrating enough in itself. I am little disappointed with that but I do like this face gel as this does what it claims. It is suitable for dry and flaky skin. This face gel does have soothing properties which I love. You can apply this hydrating face gel at night and leave it overnight or you can even rinse it off. I generally like to apply the face gel as a leave on rather than rinsing it off after some time. But both ways this face gel works well.

It felt oil free and light on my skin and I also found it to be moisturizing. I have no complains with the Cica gel. This is definitely a lightweight gel cream that gets absorbed into my skin quickly. I don’t feel the need to apply another layer of moisturizer over this face gel which was a must whenever I applied the Sea Glow Gel.
